Orange Cake

Ingredients

  • 120gm softened butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup Pauls Buttermilk
  • Grated find from 1 orange
  • 1½ cups Self Raising flour
  • 2 eggs
  • For Topping
  • Rind and juice from 2 oranges
  • ½ cup caster sugar

Method

  1. Beat all ingredients for 6 minutes.
  2. Pour into greased and papered bar or ring tin.
  3. Bake for 30-35 minutes at 1800C.

Syrup Topping

Mix rind and juice of 2 oranges with ½ cup castor sugar.

  1. Boil 3 minutes and pour over cake - stand for 15 minutes before serving with Pauls Dollop Cream.
